The Fit4Filter smartphone app from Bosch Rexroth allows customers to cross reference and replace existing hydraulic filter elements with corresponding Rexroth filters. The app is available for both Apple and Android devices for upgrading filter elements on hydraulic power units in virtually any application, including plastic injection molding machines, offshore drilling equipment, machine tools, metal stamping machines and steel making equipment.
“OEMs and equipment owners are relying on mobile devices to perform their jobs more than ever before, including identifying and locating replacement parts right from the job site and the factory floor,” said Kerry DeWitt, Product Manager Filtration Systems Sales. “Bosch Rexroth is providing tools and support to meet those needs and fit the way they work.”
Fit4Filter includes cross references to thousands of filter elements, and a unique sync-on-demand feature allows users to update the app with new filter elements and other data with just a few finger taps. The new app offers support in English and German languages, with contact information for Rexroth filter support personnel in 20 countries. Connecting with the appropriate Rexroth contact person is easy with built-in e-mail links and one-touch dialing.
For U.S. users, the app also indicates whether the selected Rexroth filter is part of the company’s GoTo Focused Delivery Program, as well as a link to specific Rexroth filter elements available on Amazon.com. iPad and iPhone Apps for the GoTo program were released in 2012.
