The newest version of the FDT standard, FDT2, greatly enhances the capabilities of the FDT standard while maintaining backward compatibility with the earlier FDT 1.2.1 standard. The FDT2 standard was approved by the FDT Group membership for public release in 2012. The FDT Group simultaneously released FDT Common Components as development toolkits to help speed products to market using the new FDT2 standard. Since then, companies have embraced the new FDT2 standard and are preparing products to leverage the new features.
"The attendance at our FDT2 workshops around the world has shown the keen interest in the new FDT2 standard. We are very pleased that Yokogawa and M&M Software have chosen to showcase their newest FDT2 products as part of the FDT integrated brewing demonstration at Hannover Fair," states Glenn Schulz, Managing Director of the FDT Group.
The FDT demonstration system at Hannover Fair is located in the Fieldbus Communications Lounge, in Hall 9, Stand D76. The integrated demonstration system will be featured at other major tradeshows in the European region throughout 2013.
