PAS University to Provide Industrial Education

June 25, 2013
PAS’s new training division, PAS University, offers training, certifications and continuing education credits.

The majority of attention paid to engineering education tends to focus on three areas: getting kids to pay more attention to science, technology, engineering and mathematics in middle school, followed by greater exposure to college and career path tracks in high school, and culminating with a college degree. But what about active engineering practitioners? Did they learn everything they needed to know about applied engineering while in college? Not likely (see this presentation from Purdue’s Dean Bertoline to understand why)

To help keep engineers and technicians up to date on the latest technologies and developments impacting manufacturing, PAS (a provider of software for the process industries), has launched PAS University to offer training courses in alarm management, control loop optimization, high-performance HMI, cybersecurity and change management.  According to PAS, each training course includes introductory concepts to advanced best practices and analyses to improve plant performance. PAS University also offers product training to ensure customers realize the full potential from PAS products.

Several training delivery options are available, including training sessions at customer sites, PAS offices, live streaming and a video library.
