Exida Certifies Nov Texas Oil Tools Subsea Shear Seal Ram (SSR) For Functional Safety

Exida, the global leader in functional safety certification for the process industries, has certified the NOV Texas Oil Tools Subsea Shear Seal Ram Actuator (SSR) for functional safety, ensuring that they meet the functional safety requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 capable per IEC 61508.

Exida, the global leader in functional safety certification for the process industries, has certified the NOV Texas Oil Tools Subsea Shear Seal Ram Actuator (SSR) for functional safety, ensuring that they meet the functional safety requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 capable per IEC 61508. This is the industry’s first BOP component to receive functional safety certification.
