Ed Melanson Joins T&M Associates to Lead Automation Practice

Ed Melanson, PE has joined T&M Associates to lead their automation practice. Melanson will primarily oversee company-wide automation initiatives focused on meeting client needs in the energy, environment, water/wastewater and transportation sectors. He will operate from T&M’s new Boston-area office.
Mr. Melanson is a recognized leader in the automation field, with over 30 years of experience designing and commissioning supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA).  He has worked with municipal, private and federal organizations on water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution facilities, among other areas of automation. His specialty is leveraging advanced automation to improve efficiency while reducing labor, energy and chemical costs. Mr. Melanson also has extensive experience with asset management tools related to condition assessment, mobile computing and system deployment.

Mr. Melanson is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and of the NC AWWA-WEA, a location chapter of AWWA in North Carolina. Prior to joining T&M, Melanson worked for several national environmental engineering firms, consulting in water and wastewater automation and workflow/asset management.
