Emerson's Appleton Group Makes Key Appointments to Management Team

Betty Chambers and Joe Compton will help grow this division of Emerson Industrial Automation, which manufactures hazardous-location electrical products.

Appleton Group, a division of Emerson Industrial Automation, has strengthened its management team with two new additions: Betty Chambers who has been appointed Territory Account Manager for key account management in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, and Joe Compton has been named Director of Operations Planning responsible for driving improvement in the Sales & Operations Planning and Finished Goods processes.

Appleton is a premium line of hazardous location products under the Appleton Group family of brands. Appleton Group is a worldwide manufacturer of electrical products for virtually every type of environment. Appleton Group is organized into three focused businesses targeting distributors and end-users and is headquartered in Rosemont, IL.

Chambers began her career at Best Power/Eaton Corp in Agency Engineering and held various advancement roles as National Distribution Manager, Territory Manager and Technical Sales Manager. She was also the Midwest Regional Manager for Softswitching Technologies where she developed extensive relationships with key electrical distributors throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Most recently, she was with SAI Advanced Power Solutions where she served as Western Region Sales Manager.

Compton has extensive work experience with both Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations with a strong background in continuous improvement. He held the position of Operations Manager for Danaher with their Videojet Technologies division, where he had responsibility for purchasing, assembly and distribution of product identification equipment. He most recently worked for VELCRO USA Inc. as a Business System Leader & Planning Manager. In his role with VELCRO, Compton led over 40 Kaizen events focusing on improving safety, quality, on-time delivery and inventory reduction.
