From electric and hydraulic drives and motors to conveyors and simulation systems, Bosch Rexroth will showcase technologies at NPE2015 that help plastics manufacturers operate with efficiency and precision through every step of the production process.

Bosch Rexroth will present multiple examples of drive and control, material handling technology and equipment for plastics manufacturing at the NPE2015 International Plastics Showcase. The company will be exhibiting in booth W4149 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, March 23-27.

Rexroth’s booth will feature leading-edge technologies including energy-saving Sytronix variable-speed pump drives, new Hägglunds hydraulic motors, and electrohydraulic controls. Additional technologies on display will include electromechanical cylinders and linear motion systems, simulation programs, the RexPak configurable hydraulic power unit and VarioFlow plus material handling conveyor systems. Applications engineers will be available throughout the show to discuss drive and control systems and equipment topics with attendees. Information on the popular Rexroth GoTo Focused Delivery program will also be available.

Key Rexroth highlights at NPE2015 include:

Sytronix SvP 7010 variable-speed pump drive

Sytronix drives combine the key advantages of both hydraulics and electronics. The variable-speed pump drives feature the reliability of powerful hydraulic systems with the energy efficiency of compact electronics. The SvP 7010 features a comprehensive selection of hydraulics-specific functionalities. Particularly suitable for use in exacting injection molding machines, the SvP 7010 increases dynamics and control accuracy with intelligent software functions while reducing energy requirements.

NEW Hägglunds CA 10 to 40 motor

Hägglunds motors feature high torque and power, a lightweight design and built-in overload protection. The new “beast” CA 10 to 40 series, to be unveiled at NPE, simultaneously delivers the highest power density, full torque and full speed. With a torque/weight ratio of 75 to 143 Nm/kg, the CA 10 to 40 offers a power density unmatched in the industry. For customers, the power density means energy and production efficiency. Compared to competitor solutions, CA 10 to 40 motors provide 10-15% more torque for the amount of energy put in. Further efficiency comes from the flexibility in the series, which includes four basic models and a wide variety of displacements. The Hägglunds CA 10 to 40 series is ideal for injection molding machines in the plastics industry, and additional applications are set to follow in the near future.

VarioFlow plus chain conveyor system

The VarioFlow plus chain conveyor system is a versatile, high-performance and standardized system ideal for achieving a fast time-to-market. With this modular and flexible chain conveyor system, users can easily configure individual, space-saving automation solutions for complex transportation tasks, even in particularly difficult environments.

GoTo focused delivery program

With Rexroth’s recently expanded GoTo Focused Delivery Program, customers can expect fast shipping on a broader range of items including electric drives and controls, hydraulics and linear motion products. The program offers industry-best delivery times and competitive pricing, delivering leading components to your doorstep.

Servo hydraulic axis

The servo hydraulic axis is a compact yet powerful tool combining electronic and hydraulic technologies. Like an electrical motor, it can be directly connected to a drive without tubes or a power unit. This electrohydraulic drive can also be installed directly onto the axis to save control cabinet space. For an even higher level of control precision, the servo hydraulic axis can be operated from a smart device.

Electromechanical cylinders
The electromechanical cylinder (EMC) is a completely modular system with an integrated ball screw assembly that is designed for high thrust/speed capability and greater flexibility and control. It can be used in applications that traditionally use hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. Benefits include high energy efficiency, low environmental impact, no leakages, long service life, reduced downtime and high application flexibility. The EMC is part of Rexroth’s linear motion portfolio of products engineered to support higher speeds, higher load capacities and pinpoint precision.
