International Pharmaceutical Expo (INTERPHEX), the premier pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing event, announced the Rockwell Automation Center for The Connected Enterprise will be offering educational sessions during INTERPHEX 2015, April 21-23. Experts will demonstrate how the latest automation and information technology, accelerated by advances in enabling technologies – including the Internet of Things, data analytics, remote monitoring and mobility – is improving collaboration and real-time decision making, and driving profitability in life sciences manufacturing.

“INTERPHEX attracts producers at the leading edge of their industry and manufacturing in general,” said John Genovesi, vice president and general manager, Information Software and Process, Rockwell Automation. “Most attendees are either participating in or closely following initiatives like the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Coalition, Industrie 4.0 and Smart Factories. But many don’t yet have a clear strategy in place to operationalize these initiatives.” Genovesi continued, “We are helping life sciences companies leverage manufacturing as a strategic business asset to stay ahead of consumer demand, improve traceability and reduce cycle times. What we are doing with The Connected Enterprise is creating a unified control and information system architecture to harness production intelligence and improve operations across the product life cycle – from formulation to factory.”

Presentations will be ongoing at the Rockwell Automation Center for The Connected Enterprise throughout the event. Rockwell Automation and industry experts will offer technical sessions open to all show attendees. Topics to be covered include:

  • Deploying and migrating manufacturing execution systems (MES) in validated environments and ‘evergreen’ information software.
  • Track and trace across hybrid discrete and process production.
  • Serialization solutions and pending regulation.
  • Quality and metrics that are changing the landscape of life sciences manufacturing.
  • Mobilizing pharmaceutical production.
  • Big data, cloud computing and manufacturing performance.

“This event is focused on continuous innovation. Having Rockwell Automation demonstrate how The Connected Enterprise better utilizes information from integrated systems was a clear fit for our audience,” said Ed Several, senior vice president and general manager, INTERPHEX. “We are certain that both exhibitors and key decision makers at INTERPHEX 2015 will benefit from seeing firsthand how industry leaders are moving ‘smart manufacturing’ from theory to practice."

The Rockwell Automation Center for The Connected Enterprise will be located at the entrance to the Javits Center Lobby, Crystal Palace Booth 3. It will be open during show floor hours. Preregistration is not required for education sessions.
