Omron Corporation’s (Kyoto, Japan) Automation and Safety business in the Americas welcomed Robert (Robb) M. Black to the position of President and COO on May 4, 2015.

Omron Corporation’s (Kyoto, Japan) Automation and Safety business in the Americas welcomed Robert (Robb) M. Black to the position of President and COO on May 4, 2015. Black has an extensive background in industrial automation and has held leadership positions at Honeywell, Turck and Rockwell Automation.

“Robb comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience from well-respected global automation companies,” said Nigel Blakeway, CEO, Omron Automation and Safety for the Americas. “He has built a great foundation as a leader in his previous roles in sales, marketing and product management.”

Prior to joining Omron, Black served as Business Director for Sensing and Connectivity at Rockwell Automation. Robb earned his Master’s Degree in Management at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.
