Adept Technology Hires Vice President of North American Sales for Fixed Robotics

Adept Technology, Inc. announced that it has hired Brian McMorris as Vice President of North American Sales for Fixed Robotics.

Adept Technology, Inc. announced that it has hired Brian McMorris as Vice President of North American Sales for Fixed Robotics.

"Brian McMorris brings to Adept more than 20 years of experience in the automation industry, successfully cultivating companies' sales and distribution teams, developing strategic marketing plans, and consistently exceeding revenue goals," said Rob Cain, president and CEO of Adept. "We are pleased to welcome him to Adept and look forward to his leadership in our North American industrial robot sales efforts."

McMorris joins Adept from Panasonic's Industrial Automation division, where he was national sales manager focusing on the semiconductor, electronics, robotics, biomedical, security and food packaging markets. Prior, he was OEM account manager and emerging markets manager for sensor systems company SICK, Inc. McMorris also spent 12 years at Scientific Technologies, Inc. (STI), holding sales leadership and product management positions. He earned a B.S. in business administration from Arizona State University, and has served on industry standards committees for SEMI, the Robotic Industries Association (RIA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
