AIS’s Smart Industrial HMI “Modular Design Scheme” Video Shows Both Industrial Box PCs and Front Touch Displays Built According To Specific Customer Needs

Sept. 28, 2015
American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS) has developed a new video demonstrating the modular and serviceable design scheme of their portfolio of Smart, Industrial PC-Based HMIs.

American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS) has developed a new video demonstrating the modular and serviceable design scheme of their portfolio of Smart, Industrial PC-Based HMIs. AIS recently introduced their family of fully modular, intelligent HMI touch panels: Compact, Standard and Premium Series solutions for an extensive range of industrial and commercial IoT, M2M, Industry 4.0 applications. These new modular systems are engineered to serve complex manufacturing processes and visualization requirements. The new video from AIS showcases the features, capabilities and benefits of each series. The Modular HMI series includes the following models:

  1. AIS Compact HMI Series: is an all-in-one-integrated HMI touch panel solution ideal for simple OEM machine control and monitoring applications. Equipped with an Intel® Celeron™ N2930 Processor.
  2. AIS Standard HMI Series: offers the greatest combination of features, price, flexibility and performance for the broadest range of SCADA and industrial applications. Equipped with an Intel® Atom™ E3845 Processor.
  3. AIS Premium HMI Series: is the most advanced HMI touch panel for the most complex SCADA, ERP and MES systems. The Premium Series is equipped with an Intel® i7™ Core 4650U Processor.

Open Architecture Compatibility with Web-Enabled, PLC, HMI, SCADA and MES Applications with AIS Smart Industrial PC-based HMI Panel Systems

An open platform HMI solution from AIS gives users tremendous flexibility and ensures network security. It enables users to leverage new TCP/IP-Based Networking, HTML 5 Web-Browsers, Web-Enabled HMI/SCADA, Industrial Automation, Field Mobility, M2M, Industry 4.0 and IoT applications. As a gate way solution to facilitate these new technologies, AIS Smart Industrial PC-based (IPC-based) Human Machine Interface (HMI) Operator Panels, including industrial box PCs and front touch displays, are often deployed in manufacturing facilities for connecting data, people and machines. AIS Smart HMI Panels are easily configured with various display sizes, computing power and integrated operating systems. AIS’s field replaceable unit comes equipped with an electrical component that can be quickly and easily removed from an IPC, and replaced by a user or technician. The Premium, Standard and Compact Line are available in displays with both analog resistive single-touch and (PCT/PCAP) projected capacitive multi-touch, ranging from 7” to 24” sizes.

AIS’s New Intelligent, HMI Touch Panels Video Touts Modularity, Flexibility and Serviceability for Future Proof HMI Solutions

One of the most powerful advantages AIS’s series of Modular HMI Systems offers customers for complex automation, control and monitoring tasks is that they provide customers an affordable migration path for the future. Customers can upgrade or build systems to suit their specific application requirements as they change in the future. From industrial box PCs to Din Rail Systems to front panel rugged, touch screen IPCs, customers can integrate new HMI solutions that meet their every changing requirements and needs.

Optimizing Supply Chain Technology Costs with Easy to Replace, Serviceable and Low Maintenance Rugged HMI Solutions from AIS

AIS’s unique HMI Modular Design Scheme helps minimize supply chain technology costs by providing key modular system components that can be replaced and serviced by technicians with minimal technical expertise. The video from AIS also highlights an in-depth review and demonstration of serviceable and modular components for their Standard and Premium Series HMIs.

AIS’s automation panels provide maintenance-free products for harsh and/or standard industrial environments; and are rugged and certified (UL/cUL/CB 61010 and 62368) for a multitude of industries, environments and applications including automation, information and communications, transportation, oil and gas, building automation and more.
