Five Star Measurement and OleumTech, have partnered to complete the first worldwide installation of turnkey wireless automation for an upstream oil production site.
An independent producer in the DJ Basin, CO, was in need of an automated wellhead and tank level monitoring solution. Their requirements included using a one-stop-shop vendor for hardware and software technology paired with a quick installation with minimal interruption to avoid income loss.
“When we received the call to meet this producer’s specific needs we immediately knew that OleumTech™ wireless solutions were the best fit,” says Zach Zieger, VP of Five Star Measurement Rocky Mountain Division. “After meeting with the OleumTech team we decided the best solution would be the IO MAX Transmitter and a combination of Liquid Level Sensor and Transmitters.”
The results of this installation exceeded the producer’s expectations. The productsinstalled were not only scalable, customizable, and cost-effective, they also interfaced to an ABB Totalflow Gas Flow computer. The installation was quick and easy with minimal interruption to production avoiding income loss and reducing labor cost.
