A summary of the respective position descriptions are highlighted below:
Production Supervisor
Plans, coordinates, organizes, schedules and controls production processes. The main responsibilities are to ensure the efficient production of goods and services are of the right quantity, quality, and cost through motivation, modeling, coaching and performance management. In addition, responsibilities include managing the scheduling process so products are produced on time to meet the demands of the customer.
Required education and experience include Bachelors in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering and Business Management. Or equivalent experience. Three to seven years of production management experience, process improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience. Preferred APEX Certification.
Assembly and Retractile Production
Produce quality customized assemblies and retractiles according to customer specification, while operating all workstations within the cell. The assembler and retractile positions shall perform daily production while having a commitment to safety, quality, performance, and delivery standards.
Required education and experience include high school diploma or GED. Manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude is preferred (e.g. being able to work with power tools). Experience with manufacturing equipment is preferred.
Braider Operator
Working within a production environment, safely operate equipment to perform set-up and operation of multiple braiding machines to weave fine wire and thread over cable. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspection, and trouble-shooting of quality issues to ensure the production of a high quality product within customer specifications.
Required education and experience include high school diploma or GED. One to two years previous manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude, and experience with manufacturing equipment.
Cabler Operator
Set-up, operate and troubleshoot cabling process following Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for assigned process. Maintain product documentation per requirements. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspection, and trouble-shooting of quality issues to ensure the production of a high quality product within customer specifications.
Required education and experience include high school diploma or GED. Technical degree preferred and/or Cabling Technology Certificate, one to two years previous manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude, and experience with manufacturing equipment. Previous computer experience preferred.
Extruder Operator
Working within a production environment utilizing a variety of plastic materials, safely operate equipment to perform set-up, and operation of extrusion machines to extrude molten plastic over individual copper conductors and fiber materials. Maintain product documentation per requirements. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspection, and trouble-shooting of quality issues to ensure the production of a high quality product within customer specifications.
Required education and experience include high school diploma or GED. Technical degree preferred. One to two years previous manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude, and experience with manufacturing equipment. Previous computer experience preferred.
Buyer/Planner
The Buyer is responsible for the timely planning and purchasing of materials for products supporting production schedules and inventory strategies. The Buyer seeks and establishes new supply sources for new and existing products. Other responsibilities include supplier oversight and management to ensure schedules, costs, and quality objectives are achieved.
Required education and experience includes Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain.
Material Handling
Material Handler is responsible for receiving and storing all the materials used in production along returning to stock. Using a variety of scales and delivery mechanisms, including a forklift while safely ensuring timely and accurate delivery to internal customers. Material Handler must ensure all material is correctly labeled with the correct lot number and placed in the correct locations. Also responsible for incoming inspection of materials. Data entry for the return raw materials to and from the Warehouse, Production Lines and Shipping/Receiving as needed.
Required education and experience includes high school education or GED with previous warehouse or manufacturing forklift experience required. Ability to use MRP or ERP software preferred. Forklift certification or license preferred or must achieve Northwire Forklift License within one (1) week.
Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector shall support quality department activities through direct involvement in product inspection, calibration and documentation management. This role will communicate with assembly, manufacturing and / or engineering personnel regarding product conformance related topics.
Required education and experience include: 1) High School Diploma or GED. 2) ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (preferred). 3) Three years in manufacturing.
Director or VP of Program Management, New Product Introduction or Engineering
Responsible for leading and developing cross-functional project teams that are responsible for the vision, concept, definition, project plan, metrics, costing, specifications, design, development, integration, verification, validation and commercial launch of new solutions. Provide technical support, implement changes and improvements to existing products. Actively develop and share expertise within the context of the enterprise to generate business cases, gather customer requirements, risk planning and facilitate business model evolution.
Required education and experience include: 1) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or 10 years of experience in manufacturing, process or product launch. 2) Eight years of experience in positioning and pricing strategy. 3) Eight years of experience in customer facing position. 4) Prior experience within an international group.
Senior Process, Industrial, Manufacturing or Assembly Engineer
Responsible for designing advanced interconnectivity products while developing and implementing strategies for various manufacturing processes to ensure the delivery of quality products. Coordinating with Application Engineers and Business Development Managers to develop customer relationships to increase revenue and improve EBITDA. Ensure compliance with all Quality and compliance standards.
Required education and experience includes: 1) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Assembly, Design, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing preferred. 2) Combination of eight years’ experience in Assembly, Design and/or Manufacturing engineering. 3) Five years’ experience in customer facing roles with Subcontractor, Electronic Contract Manufacturing, Electronics Manufacturing Services, Original Design Manufacturer, Joint Design Manufacturing, Original Equipment Manufacturers or Contract Manufacturing Organization. 4) Prior experience within an international group.
Application Engineer
The Application Engineer position is responsible to work closely with customers to successfully finalize design, product and attribute specifications with defined business development leads. This position will take direction from the Design Lead. Application Engineers will be responsible to transition products to Product Engineers following completion of quotation, design, and customer purchase order receipt.
Required education and experience includes: 1) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or 10 years of experience in a product design. 2) Three years of experience in product costing / pricing activities. 3) Three years of experience in a customer facing position. 4) Three years of experience with highly technical sales. 5) Prior experience within an international group.
Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager builds market position by locating, developing, and defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Develop a plan and sales strategy for assigned territories that executes against a high-revenue growth imperative. Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
