Ballarat Health Services Avoids Downtime in the Desert

June 7, 2016

Australia’s rural desert region is no place for HVAC failure.

Ballarat Health Services is home to the only two hospitals in an 18,000 square mile area in Australia’s Grampians region. To keep those essential facilities functioning without interruption, the multi-block campus needs to keep power management, temperature control and HVAC systems running optimally—even in the middle of a hardware and software update.

The hospital’s engineering team knew there would be obstacles when they wanted to improve its overall system performance, but patients could not afford a single second of downtime.
