Aug. 26, 2016

Watch out Philly, the female engineers arrive in October.

Ladies, looking for a career change? Head over to the Pennsylvania Convention Center on October 27h where the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will hold it’s annual conference this year. And, according to an article in the Philadelphia Business Journal, this is the world’s largest conference for female engineers, with an expected 9,000 attendees.

The Women Engineers 2016 (WE16) conference provides career management, entrepreneurship and leadership strategies and innovation and change in engineering. It is a professional development platform with speakers, networking opportunities and about 300 employers and academic institutions exhibiting from NASA to Unilever to Schneider Electric.

According to SWE CEO Karen Horting, this event is the perfect opportunity for women seeking a career change or looking to secure a senior level position or even enroll in an advanced degree program in engineering.

More importantly, it shines a spotlight on the important role women play in all aspects of engineering and encourages the next-generation of STEM sisters.
