Wieland Electric Inc., a leading global manufacturer of innovative electrical interconnect technology, has introduced a series of multipole push-in contact inserts for its revos BASIC Series of rectangular connectors, which are ideal for use in industrial equipment, construction machinery, instrumentation, automation and control systems, and any other harsh environment application that requires multiple wiring connections.

Rated for up to 600V and 13A, the new revos BASIC push-in inserts are designed to provide simplified, no-tool wiring connections, and are available in 6-, 10-, 16- and 24-pole configurations.

“The revos push-in inserts bring all the benefits of push-in technology to multipole connectors, enabling the faster commissioning of new equipment,” said Martin Lalonde, application engineer at Wieland Electric. “Especially designed to fit within the rugged housings of the revos rectangular connectors, these push-in inserts provide a tool-less alternative to screw-clamp, spring-clamp, and crimp connection technologies.”

Designed to accommodate solid wires, the revos BASIC Series push-in inserts utilize innovative spring technology to provide a reliable, gas-tight, vibration-proof connection for 14AWG conductors. Featuring test points for all contacts, even when the conductor is inserted, they mount securely into the connector housings. and feature rugged, silver plated copper-alloy contacts rated for 500+ mating cycles. Operating temperature for the series spans -40° to +120°C.
