Gen 2 Linear Slide Actuators from AutomationDirect

Oct. 16, 2017
AutomationDirect has added second generation (Gen 2) linear motion slide actuators to its SureMotion line of motion control products. The SureMotion lineup includes both motor-ready actuator assemblies and an assortment of sliding components and accessories to provide a wide variety of motion control solutions for X-Y and X-Y-Z positioning systems.

The new Gen 2 Compact and Value Line motor-ready actuators replace existing actuators of the same model, length and screw pitch. With reduced parts count, the redesigned Gen 2 actuators provide even more reliable operation and offer additional mounting options.

Starting at $1,129.00, self-contained Gen 2 Compact slide actuators are available with travel distances to 36 inches and travel speeds up to 20 inches per second. Compact Gen 2 actuators have an integral wireway through the body and a more robust motor mount that fits both NEMA 17 and 23 motors.

Value Line linear slide actuators (starting at $789.00) are available with travel distances ranging from 6 inches to 24 inches. The Gen 2 actuators add integral sensor mount grooves and a more robust motor mount. These versatile units can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or inverted without loss of load capacity.

SureMotion twin round-shaft slide actuators (starting at $2,399.00) are also available and feature continuously-supported round rail slide with ball screw actuation to provide robust precision linear motion. Round-shaft sliding elements, starting at $269.00, can be combined with the actuation assemblies to build a huge variety of machine mechanisms. Available in both end- and continuously-supported shafts, these sliding elements feature linear ball bearings, carbon-steel shafts and high-quality clear anodized aluminum blocks.
