Schneider Electric has expanded its S-Flex™ enclosed AC drive line for buildings to include Type 12 and Type 3R enclosure options.

Schneider Electric has expanded its S-Flex™ enclosed AC drive line for buildings to include Type 12 and Type 3R enclosure options. The enclosures, which complete Schneider Electric’s portfolio of drives for building applications, now enable installation of S-Flex drives in outdoor and roof applications, allowing greater flexibility and easier maintenance by keeping HVAC system components together. In addition, the expanded drive range includes BACnet® communication protocols, a wider temperature range option now to 50 degrees Celsius for warmer application locations and a C-UL rating for Canadian customers.

Schneider Electric’s S-Flex controls the speed of ventilation fans, air conditioning fans, recovery wheel control, heating and cooling pumps, cooling tower pumps and fans, and building water pressure pumps. The drive, certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute Standard for efficiency (AHRI Standard 1210), offers contractors, consulting engineers, and building managers unmatched value in installed cost and functionality featuring a compact design allowing for installation in smaller spaces.

The S-Flex line – designed with extensive input from HVAC consultants and contractors – includes the most common requirements for pump and fan applications to reduce specification time and deliver enhanced energy efficiency and sustainability. Smart and connected with power measurement capabilities improve energy consumption and usage, this offer ensures building operations are optimized for efficiency and sustainability.
