Advantech’s IIoT iAutomation Group announces the launch of its WebAccess/MCM machine condition monitoring software that provides for convenient sensor signal acquisition, signal analysis, feature extraction, data management and interpretation, and alert notifications for online monitoring and intelligent inspection. With this software, Advantech provides customers with a comprehensive solution for machine monitoring and management that meets the needs of multiple applications.

The software is compatible with various Advantech DAQ computers and cards, allowing customers to quickly install or seamlessly integrate a monitoring system. The software is designed with a user-guided graphical user interface; engineers or system integrators can easily configure settings step-by-step, without the need for any programming.

The software provides a cloud function in which data from various machines can be uploaded to a cloud platform, giving clients real-time data access to machine conditions for predictive maintenance applications. This helps improve equipment uptime, performance and safety, while greatly reducing maintenance costs. In all, the software helps effectively visualize equipment and production line status and substantially reduces the R&D resources invested, improves automation levels, and saves human resource costs.

WebAccess/MCM provides three different modes.

1. Scope Mode: At the start of implementing a measure system, the user needs to verify the sensor signal. Scope assists users in analyzing signals and provides oscilloscope-like functions including cursor measurement tools, trigger capture functions, automatic measures of amplitudes, frequencies, average and peak-to-peak values, as well as real-time display of time-domain data and spectrograms.

2. Intelligent Inspection Mode: This mode provides an easy way to develop an inspection system for a production line. Wizard guides are provides for easy setup. Customized algorithms allow for optimizing signals and data analysis. The system can output signals to other equipment and can connect to the SCADA system as monitoring nodes and generates quality inspection reports.

3. Condition Monitoring Mode: Provides plenty of algorithms for signal processing and data analysis to convert large amounts of data into useful information. Through a data management function, data is uploaded to an IIoT cloud. With MCM, the user can realize real-time online condition monitoring, predict key component life, minimize machine shutdowns, and increase productivity.
