On the IT level, the chip prevents unauthorized firmware updates and proliferation on the cloud; while on the OT level, the chip offers comprehensive security mechanisms, such as confidentiality, data integrity, anti-tampering, and encryption/decryption authentication functions.
WISE-PaaS/Edgelink Software Ensures Easy Programming
The WISE-710 data gateway is also equipped with Advantech’s WISE-PaaS/EdgeLink protocol-conversion software, which supports more than 200 communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, and IEC-60870-5-104) to enable data collection from legacy devices. In addition to facilitating data integration, WISE-PaaS/EdgeLink supports user-defined data acquisition periods for each input interface, thereby reducing the volume of data transmitted and stored on the cloud.
