The In-Sight 500 processes images at speeds of 100 fps at the full 1024 x 768 pixels of resolution and 200 fps at 640 x 480. Using windowing, the unit can acquire images while simultaneously processing applications at speeds to 500 fps. Suggested applications are those requiring relatively simple inspection using blob, edge and histogram, which can include the medical device, packaging and pharmaceutical industries. The system works with the full suite of In-Sight tools and communication methods, including Cognex Connect, which supports EtherNet/IP and PROFINET, among other communication protocols. The unit is intended for fixed mounting and has an IP65-rated housing.
