The Data Portal software package provides designers with access to a wide range of electronic components from nearly 50 manufacturers, with order numbers for procurement, technical macros for creating schematics, location drawings for equipping, function templates for intelligent device selection and preview screens easily transferred by dragging-and-dropping them into the CAE project. This eliminates the need to create one's own master data and speeding up planning. The portal contains schematic macros, multilingual parts information, preview images, documents and more, all accessible on line. Version 2.1 adds more manufacturers and the capability for a manufacturer's product configurator to be linked directly to the portal. Manufacturer can store their standard parts data on the online portal and, for components that are changing rapidly, can link their product configurator so that complex products can be directly imported to the portal and be used within the platform for schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, etc.
