Omega Engineering: Compact Non-Contact Infrared Temperature Transmitter

The OS151-USB series non-contact infrared temperature transmitter features max, min average and instantaneous readings; peak or valley hold; reflected energy compensation, OPC server capabilities and a response time 240 ms to 90%.
Sept. 12, 2012

The 4 to 20 mA output is compatible with almost any indicator, controller, recorder, data logger etc. without the need for special interfacing or signal conditioning. The transmitter's stainless steel housing and 15:1 or 30:1 optics make it suitable for most applications associated with liquids, motors, plumbing, food, storage containers, received goods, grocery store areas and kitchens, as well as refrigerated rooms, maintenance, manufacturing, chemical plants, oil refineries, etc. All sensors are fully configurable from a PC using the software and USB cable supplied. User-friendly software makes it easy to set the range and emissivity, compensate for reflected energy; apply filtering; select max, min, average or instantaneous readings; and peak or valley hold processing. Temperature range is -40 to 1000 °C (-40 to 1832 °F); spectral range is 8 to 14 µm; accuracy is ±1% of reading or ±1°C, whichever is greater; and emissivity range is 0.1 to 1.0.
