FactoryTalk AssetCentre Process Device Configuration (PDC) is an optional capability. Using FDT Technology, it allows you to access instrument parameters, aids in configuration and commissioning process devices and helps with diagnostics. Acting as a host system, or Frame Application, PlantPAx Asset Management gives you the ability to work with multiple vendors’ instruments in one common platform, reducing overall maintenance and field time – giving you the freedom to choose best-in-breed instruments and maintenance tools available from any of the more than ninety vendors supporting FDT Technology.

PlantPAx Asset Management comes standard with a number of communications and device DTMs. All 17 FDT supported protocols are supported for use within FactoryTalk AssetCentre Process Device Configuration.
