Features include Virtual AP to deliver multiple services, and Long-Range parameter fine-tuning with access point mode to auto-calculate parameters, such as slot time, ACK time-out, and CTS time-out to achieve a longer distance communication range. The unit provides Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint Communication, a virtual AP that supports multiple SSID, wireless security with IEEE 802.11i compliance and 802.1X Authentication support and additional Authentication and Encryption for secure communication with SSH and SSL support. Suggested applications include wireless infrastructure in CNC machinery production on the factory floor, wireless remote update of message boards at light rail stations, wireless surveillance system networks in building automation and for mobile data collector cart wireless data transmission in food/beverage production lines.
