Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group introduces the ADAM-5560, a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) for control tasks which require an industrial PCs performance and a PLC’s robustness.

To help System Integrators develop applications for their customers, the ADAM-5560 comes with an Intel Atom™ 1.1GHz processor and supports Microsoft Visual Studio.Net programming, giving developers a complete set of development tools.

For the benefit of System Integrator’s programming flexibility and preferences, the ADAM-5560 supports KW Software’s powerful Multiprog software.  This IEC61131-3 control software includes five programming languages including: Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Structured Text (ST), and Instruction List (IL).

To further aid engineers, the ADAM-5560 includes an integrated VGA port which, with the aid of optional HMI software, means that users no longer need to add additional SCADA PCs into their applications.
