ZigBee is a low-cost, low-power, wireless mesh network standard targeted at wide deployment of long battery life devices in wireless control and monitoring applications. Thanks to its powerful star, tree networks, and generic Mesh networking support, ZigBee had been widely used in building automation, lightning control, energy management and security.

Artila is proud to announce the cooperation with Nietzsche in wireless automation of the environment monitoring and safety alert. Nietzsche's ZigBee Wireless sensors work perfectly with Artila's Matrix Linux embedded computer by using their ZigBee USB dongle and ZigBee to Ethernet converter. The ZigBee USB dongle use USB CDC ACM driver which will work as a serial port (/dev/ttyACM0) in Artila's Matrix Linux computer. Using AT command provided by Nietzsche, user can easily communicate the wireless sensor with Matrix computer.

When using ZigBee to Ethernet converter, the converter is configured as a TCP server device with default IP address at 192.168.1.2 and with fixed port number at port 10010. User can use web browser to configure the IP address for the Ethernet converter. Once done, user can use AT command to communicate the ZigBee sensor by using Artila Matrix computer which acts as a TCP client.
