AutomationDirect’s line of IronHorse motors now includes farm-duty and additional rolled steel AC motors. IronHorse motors are the preferred choice for industrial AC motors due to their rugged construction and ability to control the speed of the motor.

The new MTF series farm-duty motors are T-frame 230 VAC single phase, integral horsepower motors designed to withstand full voltage starting and are used to power agitators, augers, compressors, surveyors, feeders, hay hoists, grinders, blowers and other farm equipment. The NEMA design L motors are electrically reversible and have a full load torque range of 6.04 – 15.30 lb-ft (depending on motor size).

The IP65-rated single-phase motors, available in 2 to 5 hp sizes, feature Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled enclosures with cast iron end bells and rolled steel bodies, heavy duty oversized ball bearings, a high tensile steel shaft and a large easy-to-wire junction box with rubber gasket. Starting at $309, MTF series motors are designed for farm duty applications requiring high starting torque and moderate starting current.

The new MTR2 series of rolled steel 56C/56HC TEFC single-phase AC motors, in 0.33 to 2 hp sizes, are available in 1800 and 3600 RPM models and are equipped with removable bolt on-bolt off bases. Starting at $119, MTR2 motors are designed for applications such as conveyors, pumps, fans, air compressors, and more.

IronHorse motors are backed by a two-year warranty; available IronHorse motor accessories include start and run capacitors, centrifugal switches, manual locked rotor overload switches, junction boxes, fans and fan shrouds.
