Hilscher’s comX 51 network interface adapter for PROFINET is one of the first devices to be certified for conformance to PROFINET IO Version 2.31 and Netload Class 3 specifications. comX 51 passed the PROFINET tests for Conformance Class C, which includes Fast Start Up (FSU), Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) and Isochronous Real-Time protocol (IRT). Netload Class III requires the device to exhibit advanced robustness under the highest traffic densities. Thus, comX 51 offers a pre-certified PROFINET IO interface solution, reducing integration efforts. It uses Hilscher’s own netX controller chip, which carries a 10 years availability promise.
