netHOST RTE is a DIN-rail master allowing industrial PCs and embedded systems to control Real-Time Ethernet networks such as PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP from any standard Ethernet port. A DLL for Windows and “C” source code for embedded solutions are included and the API is identical to Hilscher’s cifX range of PC cards. Two netHOST RTE modules can be used in combination for redundancy, with controlled switchover. Firmware and configuration recovery takes less than a minute.
