Remote temperature measurement for machine with harsh environment

Artila Electronics, the leading designer and manufacturer of embedded device networking and computing, is proud to release RIO-2018, the new generation of web enabled thermocouple input module. RIO-2018 is powered by ARM Cortex M3 and FreeRTOS operating system and features three thermocouple input channels, one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, two isolated digital input channels and one relay output.

RIO-2018 is equipped with MAXIM MAX31855 cold junction compensation thermocouple converter and an industrial grade OMEGA connector is applied to ensure a seamless signal connection. The converter resolves temperature to 0.25°C allows readings as high as +1800°C and as low as -270°C. A fault detection of open thermocouple is also built in the converter. The isolated digital input and relay output can be assigned to monitor the external event and trigger alarm. Taking the advantage of AJAX and JSON web interface, RIO-2108 is accessible everywhere at any time by using a web browser.

In addition to the web interface, RIO-2018 also supports Modbus TCP industrial protocol which makes it easily to integrate RIO-2018 into your automation project.
