Bevel Gear Screw Jacks Offer Custom Configurations and Reduces Nut-and-Screw Backlash

July 21, 2015
The ActionJac line of bevel gear screw jack systems is offered from Nook Industries, innovator of linear motion components and systems.

Available in many configurations, this line offers customers quality, long-duty cycles and configurable solutions for their applications.

Offered in machine and ball models, all bevel gear screw jacks provide load-handling capabilities from 12.3kN to 117kN. They may be used individually or in multiple arrangements, and because there are no standard travel lengths, each one is built to specification.

Machine screw jacks incorporate the use of a trapezoidal acme screw that conforms to DIN 103 standard with a low backlash between nut and screw. For solutions requiring smoother motion, higher speeds or less torque, ball screw jacks are available.

Additionally, ActionJac bevel gear screws can be arranged in three jack configurations: translating, rotating and keyed. This allows the load to be moved in different ways along the lift shaft, offering further options for customers.

“Between the two models and three configurations, we can offer customers a solution that provides for whatever critical considerations they have,” said Jeff Naymik, marketing manager for Nook Industries. “Load, speed, torque, space or more, ActionJac bevel gear screw jacks will fit the criteria.
