The platform, which combines function block libraries with sample programs and HMI screens, can significantly reduce engineering time and help OEMs get their new machines to market faster.

The function block library in iQ Monozukuri Converting includes cutting-edge velocity/torque control for accurate tension, line velocity generator, roll diameter calculation, torque compensation, patented auto-tuning function for real-time gain adjustment, flat roll, filters and edge control with web break detection.

Like its counterpart for the packaging industry, the Converting portfolio also incorporates highly synchronized motion control modules for accurate and consistent operation.

Function blocks are applicable to many different machines, enabling OEMs to standardize their programs and follow a modern template for various applications.
