Programmable Fieldbus Controller

June 22, 2011
WAGO Corporation's 750-880 "ETHERNET 2.0" Programmable Fieldbus Controller packs 1MB data memory and SD port for up to 8GB of extra memory.

Third in WAGO's new "ETHERNET 2.0" platform, 750-880 increases intelligence and high-frequency processing - up to 1000 instructions within 235? - for industrial Ethernet applications.

Via SD card, 750-880 expedites large-scale programming while increasing capabilities by transferring device parameters, boot files or other file types between controllers. For data logging, 750-880 provides 1MB of both program and data memory, with up to 8GB of supplemental memory from the SD card. Accessible via FTP, the card is also an additional drive or data backup.

750-880 employs new function libraries, and an upgraded 2MB Fast File System with integrated Web server for configuration options, status information and Web pages. The multitasking 750-880 relies on a robust, industry-approved TCP/IP stack and IEC61131-3 compatible environment. Protocols include: MODBUS, HTTP, ETHERNET/IP BootP, DHCP, DNS, SNTP, FTP, SNMP.

Gold Card:
750-880's optional SD Card is fortified with gold-plating for harsh industrial applications. Relying on SLC-technology (Single-Level-Cell), WAGO's SD Card will last approximately 10 times longer than MLC (Multi-Level-Cell) cards. The card features Power-Loss Protection, ESD stability up to 15 kV and a -20°C to +60°C temperature rating.

IT Meets PLC:
750-880 two Ethernet interfaces and an integrated switch blend PLC-like functionality with IT networking flexibility. Via line topology, the switch eliminates redundant switches and hubs. The slotted, IP20 housing optimizes cooling; an extended-temperature model is rated -20°C to +60°C. 750-880 carries UL 508 and meets stringent EMV requirements.
