Phoenix Contact's newest coupling relays feature push-in technology (PIT) for fast and easy connections.
The PLC-PIT products combine the advantages of push-in technology wth Phoenix Contact's established PLC relay products.
The PIT connection method, introduced in terminal blocks last year, enables fast, easy connection, even for small wires. It reduces insertion forces by up to 50 percent compared with other spring-cage connectors for easy handling and less physical strain.
Actuation requires no special tools. Nearly any tool - even a pen - can release the conductor. The orange actuation push button ensures complete touch-proof termination and prevents any deformation of the spring by the tool.
Like the existing PLC relays, the PLC-PIT measures just 6.2 mm wide. The relays are compatible with a wide range of accessories, including system cable adapters, feed terminals and plug-in bridges. In addition to the new PIT technology, PLC relays are also available with traditional screw and spring-cage versions.
When used with Phoenix Contact's system cabling, the PLC relay system saves even more time and prevents wiring errors.
