Washdown-variant Servo Motors

Dec. 2, 2010
Food-grade AM3000 synchronous servo motors are designed with a resistant white surface coating for food and beverage manufacturing, packaging and other applications that require washdown.

Because these motors do not differ from the standard offerings in the supplier's series, additional motor types do not have to be ‘designed into' the machine in the case of mixed use of coated and standard motors. A further advantage: the coating adds only about 30 percent to the price of the standard versions of the servo motors, says the vendor, depending on the size. The protective white coating, typical in the food industry, is compliant with FDA regulations. The IP 67 design permits use in other harsh industrial environments.
