Reliable Long-distance Sensing

Oct. 2, 2010
The ML100 series of photoelectric sensors are said to feature a more powerful and brighter light spot than competitive sensors, enabling long sensing distances of up to 30 meters (98 ft.), with signal strength to “see” through contaminants that collect on the sensor lens.
The sensors provide automatic crosstalk protection, meaning that two sensors can be used together without any mounting restrictions. They are also highly immune to ambient light, even in environments using high frequency energy-saving fluorescent lights, says the vendor. The sensors feature a broad temperature rating of -30°C-60°C (-22°F-140°F), and boast what is said to be among the lowest current consumption in their class. Enhanced status indication actively details what the sensor is doing at any given moment, using LEDs that are visible from 360 degrees.Pepperl+Fuchs Inc.www.pepperl-fuchs.us330.486.0001
