Unmanaged Switch Features POE

Aug. 4, 2010
The EKI-2528PAI is a ruggedized 8-port unmanaged Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Ethernet switch featuring a total of eight 10/100Base-TX Ethernet ports, four of which can supply power to PoE-compliant devices.
Unlike most industrial PoE switches, says the vendor, the EKI-2528PAI does not require a separate 48VDC power source. Equipped with an internal DC-to-DC converter, 24VDC input power is boosted to the 48VDC required for powering PoE-compliant devices. Packaged in a compact and thin DIN-rail mount metal chassis, the EKI-2528PAI is well-suited when panel space is limited. The ruggedized switch includes redundant power inputs, 4000VDC Ethernet ESD protection, power line surge (EFT) protection of 3000VDC, and features a wide -40°C to 75°C operating temperature range. The switches are CUL (UL/CSA), UL508, CE, FCC, and RoHS/WEE certified.Advantech Corp., Industrial Automation Groupwww.advantech.com/ea800.205.7940
