Compact, Multi-axis Control System

June 4, 2010
Equipped with a 500MHz Geode LX800 processor, the Power Panel 65 control system is designed to handle multi-axis applications in a compact design.

High calculation performance ensures optimal use of space in the switching cabinet, says the vendor. Two USB interfaces and a Fast Ethernet port allow data to be exchanged quickly with higher level systems. If expansions are required, remote I/O and drives can be connected using modular fieldbus interfaces. The control system is available with integrated X2X or Powerlink interface, and with a 5.7-in touch screen or a 3.5-in touch screen and function keys. The devices can also be extended with RS232/RS485, CAN and Profibus DP slave interfaces, depending on requirements.
