Bar Code Reader Features Touchscreen

May 4, 2010
Billed as the first industrial touch screen bar code reader, the iVu Bar Code Reader (BCR) reads 11 industry-standard bar codes to facilitate advanced traceability—a critical strategy for ensuring highest product quality in packaging, material handling, pharmaceutical and other industrial applications.
With its integrated touch screen design, the iVu BCR allows users to efficiently configure, monitor and modify an inspection on-site. The iVu BCR deciphers bar codes of varying types to verify correct content at production speeds of hundreds of parts per minute—all within a single compact, rugged package. The unit features an intuitive interface that reduces operator training time and allows first-time users to set up complex applications without a PC or external controller, says the vendor. The iVu Bar Code Reader reads industry-standard bar codes including DataMatrix (ECC 200); linear bar codes; Code 128; Code 39; Codabar; Interleaved 2 of 5; EAN-13; EAN-8; UPCE; Postnet; IMB; and Pharmacode.Banner Engineering Corp.www.bannerengineering.com888.373.6767
