Panel PCs Expand Options

March 5, 2010
Gold Industrial Panel PCs reportedly provide greater latitude in the automation and control process, eliminating the limitations and design roadblocks imposed by conventional HMIs/Panel PCs.

Available in 15-, 17- or 19-in models, they are powered by the 64-bit Core 2 Duo Intel processor. Each PC provides two Ethernet ports, five serial ports, and four host USB ports (six host USB ports on the 19-inch model). The graphic capabilities include a bright high-contrast SXGA TFT Display with 16 million colors with 1280x1024 resolution. An 80GB “anti-shock” hard drive, upgradable to 160GB, comes with Microsoft Windows XP Professional and includes 1GB of DDR2 DRAM, upgradable to 3GB. Each unit is operational in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50°C and in humidity ranging from 5% to 95%. They have a NEMA4/12 (IP65) rating, are RoHS Compliant and are CE and FCC certified.
