Compact IPC Saves Energy

Nov. 5, 2009
The C6915 series Industrial PCs with Intel Atom processors provide up to 1.6GHz processing power with reduced energy consumption.
Because of the low processor power dissipation of Atom processors, the C6915 can be more compact and moderately priced. Currently the vendor’s most compact IPC, the C6915 measures 47x157x116 mm (1.9x6.1x4.6-in). When Industrial PCs from this series are paired with the vendor’s Control Panel with DVI and USB connection or an Ethernet Control Panel, they are said to become a high-performance centralized control platform for machine builders and plant engineering applications. Due to its two independent Ethernet interfaces, the C6915 is also well-suited as a compact central processing unit for an EtherCat control system. The basic, solid-state configuration of the C6915 features a flash disk, resulting in a controller with no moving parts that requires no fan. Beckhoff Automation LLCwww.beckhoff.com952.808.6515
