Smart Camera Gains Resolution

Oct. 2, 2009
The Iris GT line of smart cameras has been enhanced to include a higher-resolution sensor.
The sensor on the Iris GT1900 is a 1600x1200 at 15fps 1/1.8-in. monochrome CCD, and allows an entire area of interest to be captured in a single image while still maintaining the resolving power needed to perform necessary tasks such as reading multiple 2D codes. Powered by an Intel 1.6GHz Atom processor, the smart cameras run Windows CE 6.0, and feature an integrated graphics controller with VGA output, 256MB DDR2 memory and 1GB of flash disk. The sensor configuration is housed in a sturdy, dust-proof and washable IP67-rated casing. Pricing of the cameras with the vendor’s bundled Design Assistant interactive development environment starts at $4,995.Matrox Imaging www.matrox.com/imaging800.804.6243
