The latest release of IndustrialIT cpmPlus Smart Client, a thin client for System 800xA, includes enhancements for expanded visibility of alarms and events, improved navigation and streamlined access to all connected plant 800xA systems.
The software provides secure, view-only, browser-based access to
multiple plant systems from any network connection, so customers can
access and share the information they need. Smart Client helps
process-industry users securely access their automation systems via an
Internet browser for real-time visibility into the process. It requires
no programming to configure displays. Unlike other thin clients that
require separate data definitions, this version eliminates duplicate
engineering effort by using the existing data definitions in System
800xA, says the vendor, saving time and money. It harnesses the power
of System 800xA’s single point change management and engineering to
provide the data integrity and trusted information needed to accurately
assess production status and potential situations from where it resides
