Automate Machine Changeovers

Feb. 3, 2009
Hiperdrive Format Adjustment Drives are integrated systems that include a motor, gears, absolute encoder and field bus communication capability.
The IP65-rated Hiperdrive (Highly Integrated Performance Drive) enables automated changeover on printing, packaging and metal-processing machines. The HRA25/35 and HDA30/45 Hiperdrives offer an alternative to manual changeovers that use hand wheels. They are also an alternative to servo motors and other drive combinations because the Hiperdrive housing encompasses all the components that are usually required. A Hiperdrive-Hub can connect several drives to a field bus system, reducing the amount of wiring needed. Hiperdrive features include multiple rpm (revolution per minute) ranges, high static holding torque, field bus interface, status information and simplified cabling requirements.SICK Inc.www.sickusa.com800.325.7425
