Rugged Hand-Held Computer

Dec. 1, 2008
The Hydrus hand-held computer is designed for long-term daily operation in harsh environments.
Its battery capacity allows it to function for more than 40 hours, says the vendor. The unit is IP67/IP68 rated for protection against dust and water, and its double wall case construction of GE Xenoy helps provide drop- and shock-protection for internal components. The Hydrus QVGA display with integral touch screen features enhanced readability for both indoor and outdoor use, and a 5MP (4MP processed) “true-camera-system” captures color images and bar codes with autofocus and illumination. Users can capture, then relay images and data from virtually any remote field location and transmit it back to a centralized location. RS-232 and USB ports are available for adding peripherals. Two Technologies, Inc.www.2t.com215.441.5305
