Cost-effective Signal Conversion

Oct. 1, 2008
The IMS interface module is designed to provide a cost-effective solution for analog signal conversion.
At 6.2mm wide, this compact module converts current and voltage signals from a wide range of applications, with an analog signal transmitter that achieves 0.1 percent of the full scale. Modules are also available specifically for transferring temperature signals from thermocouple, RTD and other devices using Pt-100 technology, achieving 0.3 percent of the full scale. This simple conversion to current signals makes the IMS module an inexpensive addition to new or retrofit applications, says the vendor, allowing users to employ standard current analog cards rather than costly thermocouple or RTD cards. IMS modules are designed for simple configuration using a laterally mounted DIP switch. Turck Inc. www.turck.us 800.544.7769
