Enhanced Plant-to-Enterprise Software

March 13, 2008
The latest release of the IndustrialIT ECS Enterprise Connectivity Solutions includes enhancements for quicker integration of systems, improved performance, and simplified user interface.

ECS provides a streamlined, single point interface for vertical integration between plant and enterprise business systems for improved productivity, flexibility, quality control and reduced order-to-cash cycle. Part of the vendor’s Collaborative Production Management (CPM) portfolio, ECS helps customers become more competitive in the global marketplace by providing one standard interface that connects automation and business systems for information access and exchange. It provides connectivity between manufacturing solutions, including the vendor’s IndustrialIT System 800xA, as well as third-party DCS systems, other CPM solutions, and enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft. Additionally, ECS can integrate database systems, OPC-compliant systems or Web Service enabled systems. The latest release of ECS streamlines the integration process even further, with several new features designed to make it more flexible and easier to implement. Online redundancy provides reliable integration for implementation while processes are running. Several enhancements simplify interface deployment, such as improved drag-and-drop process definition, improved logging and model debugging, and easier-to-use-and-
understand graphics.
