Ethernet-based Remote Visualization

Jan. 23, 2008
Designed for use in hazardous locations, VisuNet RM remote monitors eliminate copper and fiber optic KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) interface technology, while leveraging open network-based Visualization over Ethernet (VOE) technology.

VOE facilitates operation of up to 32 remote monitoring stations per server. Available with optional wireless Ethernet, VisuNet is designed to integrate the benefits of a modern network infrastructure based on standard Ethernet components in remote solutions where the display, keyboard, and mouse are up to 2km away from the PC in the safe area, or as a full-scale panel PC installed in the hazardous location. VisuNet is the process industry’s first generation of visualization solutions to communicate exclusively via existing Ethernet TCP/IP network infrastructure, says the vendor.
