Intrinsically Safe I/O System

Oct. 3, 2007
The Simatic ET 200iSP is designed to deliver intrinsically safe and flexible distributed I/O solutions in potentially explosive environments.

The ET 200iSP is a modular I/O system for hazardous areas, including gaseous and dusty atmospheres. Its sensors and actuators are connected directly to a bus system and the I/O system may be mounted in a non-explosion-proof cabinet. The I/O system is FM approved for mounting in Class 1 Div 2 and Class 1 Zone 1 areas connecting directly to devices mounted in Class 1 Div 1 and Class 1 Zone 0 without the need for external safety barriers.
